How to enrol your child

RidgeView School does not have an Enrolment Scheme or School Zone.  Therefore, any child may enrol at our school.

To ensure that your child is able to transition into our school smoothly, we suggest that you make an appointment to meet with the Principal, well in advance of the anticipated start date.  Please either phone 09 413 9808 or email directly on principal@rigdgeview.school.nz. 

When you enrol your child you will need to bring either your child's birth certificate or passport.  This will be photocopied and returned to you.  You will also be asked to fill in an enrolment form which includes important information about your child's health and emergency contacts.

If your child is from abroad, it is likely that they will need to show confirmation of residency and their student visa or permit.

We are a signatory to the Code for Pastoral Care and have provisions to cater for International Students.

School Visits

We strongly encourage any children who are planning on joining our school to visit several times before their official start date. 

For our New Entrant children, we suggest a minimum of three visits prior to beginning.  These will be arranged with the New Entrant teacher after the initial enrolment meeting with the Principal.  Some children may require a longer transition and we are happy to work with parents to best meet the needs of each child.

NB  Children under the age of 5 require a caregiver or designated adult to remain on-site while these visits take place.
