How can I enrol my child at Ridgeview School?

You can enrol your child at RidgeView by making an appointment with the Principal.  You can phone Kalene in our School Office on 09 413 9808 or email Rachael Kemball directly at rachaelk@ridgeview.school.nz

When is the School Office open?

Kalene Meumann is in the School Office Monday through Friday  from 8.30am  until 3.15pm. You can contact Kalene on 09 413 9808 or kalenem@ridgeview.school.nz

How is the school organised?

RidgeView School has approximately 55 children who are usually organised across three homeroom classes: Waahi KoruNew Entrant/Year 1 Waahi PitauYear 2/3 Waahi PakariYear 4/5/6.  Students ‘cross group’ for Literacy and Numeracy sessions where they move across classes related to their current learning level.  This style of teaching allows students to have greater amounts of teacher contact time and therefore to accelerate progress.

Is Before and After School Care available?

Before School Care is available from 7.30am – 8.15am.  Students booked into this programme take part in the Breakfast Club scheme from 8.15am – 8.30am. After School Care is available onsite from 3.00pm – 5.30pm on all week days. Before and After School care must be prebooked.  Please contact the school for contact details.

What time is the school open?

School begins at 8.55am and finishes at 3.00pm each day. The bell times are listed below:

1st Block – 8.55am – 11am

Morning tea – 11am – 11.30am

2nd Block – 11.30am – 1pm

Lunchtime – 1pm – 1.45pm

3rd Block – 1.45pm – 3.00pm

NB  Students may be onsite before school from 8.30am.
